Activities with Amber - Cloud Dough

Hi families!
What characteristics are most important to you when thinking about crafts you want to do with your kids? Would you prefer them to have minimal supplies? Keep them engaged for hours? Allow your children to complete the craft independently? Well, how about all of them! I’m bringing you a Cloud Dough craft is the definition of easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Follow along for some quick & easy instructions:

Ingredients needed: Measuring cups,  Hair conditioner (any kind will work- so don’t use the good stuff), cornstarch, food coloring (optional)

Step 1: Measure out 2 cups of cornstarch and 1 cup of hair conditioner.

Step 2: Mix together in a bowl. You may want to begin by using a spoon but by the end, you’ll want to knead it with your hands. If the dough is sticking to your hands, add a little bit of cornstarch.

Step 3: Add some color! This step is optional but a few drops of cornstarch will make your dough pop!

Step 4: Play!!!

So you’ve made the cloud dough, what now?? Thank you for asking! Below are some further activities to do with the dough once the immediate fun has worn off.
