Moving in the Morning with Coach Caleb - The Good Stuff
When we were not quarantined, the world moved so fast! It was always about getting more money, having more stuff, having the most fun, more of everything. Now we’re in a slowed down world. Most of us are going through some type of adversity. It is now that we need to step back and dig into the good stuff. (Disclaimer: We are about to use the word stuff a lot!)
What are we doing?
“You’ll have bad times…..but that will always wake you up to the good stuff you weren’t paying attention to.”
What’s the Good Stuff you’re not paying attention to? The Good Stuff is always good stuff even in times of prosperity. We tend to only think about the good stuff during times of loss, but it is still THE Good Stuff. We should always be focusing on the good stuff.
So what’s the good stuff?
“The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched, they are felt with the heart.”
The good stuff is the stuff that we feel deeply. The good stuff is not memes we laugh to on our phone . The good stuff is not endless supplies of pancakes (yum!). The good stuff is not even camp! While all of these things can be good (and camp is the best), the good stuff is in between the lines. The good stuff is the stuff that makes all of those things enjoyable and memorable.
The good stuff is the connections we make to others. The good stuff is not the phones, but the relationships we build with people on the other end of our phones. The good stuff is not the pancakes, but eating the best pancakes of your life with your friend and laughing about how your pants are about to burst. The good stuff is not camp itself, but the community and bonds we build there.
Camp can feel fast paced at times, but really we are slowing things down to enjoy the good stuff. We take away the phones, the busy schedule, the “things you must do” and focus on building relationships. At camp, we try to not make it about the amazing activities we offer, but about who you are doing them with. How can campers provide support for someone who is struggling? How can they practice kindness today? Why is putting other people's needs before your own a good thing? This is the good stuff. Just like camp is a chance to focus on the good stuff, now is the time to dig deep into that same stuff.

Warrior 3 is a bit of a challenging pose. You want to reach your hands as far forward as possible, while reaching your back leg in the opposite direction. Find your balance while continuing to breathe.
