Activities with Amber - Painting with Hands

Hi all!

Welcome back to another week of Art with Amber. I am so excited for today’s art activity! Growing up, I was always fascinated with what shadows I could make out of my hands. My brother and I would use a flashlight and try to make cool animals or shapes in the shadows. Today, I am going to take that a bit farther! We are going to shape our hands to make animal paintings (or drawings)!

What you’ll need: paper or canvas, paint or crayons.

Step 1: Place your hand in the position that is shown in the picture.

Step 2: Trace your hand!

Step 3: Add details and color to the picture.

Wahlah! Drawing animals with your hands!

Animals we may make:  Snail, giraffe, Elephant, rabbit, and dog!
