Greetings Camp Southern Ground Family!
I hope that you and your families have been doing well through the strangest back to school season any of us has ever seen. We know it’s weird and challenging times out there, and we want to share some support and some love to all of our camp families!

Camp Updates
The summer of 2020 was a tough one for all of us at Camp Southern Ground, but especially for myself and the summer camp team. We spent our whole year planning for camp, and cancelling it was heartbreaking! We’re very proud of the work we were able to do this summer in place of camp, as our #ProjectRemedy provided over 15,000 meals to families in need this summer. But we’re ready to get back to planning for our favorite thing in the whole world - Summer Camp!
We’ve spent the month of August planning out fun and educational events for our camp families, as well as planning the launch of our summer camp for 2021. We know that the world feels a little disconnected right now, we’re ready to bring us back together!
Better Together
Our theme for Summer Camp 2021 is Better Together. We know that kids and families have missed out on so much over the last 6 months! We want to spend this school year providing some resources to families, fun virtual and in person events, and educational opportunities that help our families. We also want to talk about how excited we are to GET BACK TOGETHER at camp in summer 2021! We can’t wait for songs and games and a group of kids just getting to be in the outdoors with great friends. We also know that Better Together is only really better if we’re including our friends who might look or be developing differently.

Launching Summer Camp 2021
Over the next few weeks we’ll be announcing all our plans for Summer Camp 2021 as well as sharing some helpful and fun resources for all of our families. For families that rolled over a summer camp registration from 2020 to 2021, we’ll be in touch in the next few weeks to help select dates and get your registration finalized.
We’re expecting demand for camp to be incredibly high this year, so we’re going to limit our fall registration for camp to families who have previously attended, or to other families they refer. We’ll send out more information about how this will work in the coming weeks.

Lastly, we want to say thank you. Over the summer we received so much love and support from our camp families and it truly touched us. We appreciate each and every family that we serve, and we can't get everyone back together at camp in 2021. Because we all know that camp, just like life, is Better Together!
